Charity's p16 (or Rity's p16) is a small period-16 oscillator discovered by Charity Engine on June 30, 2022,[1] specifically in a dimer form within a symmetric soup.[2]
It consists of a Wing being hassled by a block, a tub, and a figure eight. Other domino sparkers can substitute for the figure eight, including Kok's galaxy, Rob's p16,[1] and an unnamed period-4 high-clearance sparker.[3] The reaction can even be used to support another copy of itself, allowing it to be stacked indefinitely.[4]
Charity's p16 itself gives off an obo! spark which can interact with a glider stream in many different ways, such as an unusually slow eating reaction in which the glider is turned into a boat, a blinker, and then a beehive before finally being destroyed.[1] It can also filter a period-24 stream to period 48,[4] or, when positioned differently, can eat it entirely.[5]

It also completes at least two previously discovered oscillator partials: a p32 traffic light and honey farm hassler[1] and a p16 traffic light hassler,[6] both of which were originally found by David Raucci in January 2022.[7][8]
The name "Charity's p16" was first proposed by Adam P. Goucher,[9] in analogy to Rich's and Rob's p16s, both of which are named after their discoverer's given names and both of which also pertain to wealth.[10] "Rity's p16", the name first proposed by Ignacy Jackl,[11] features an abbreviation of "charity" in order to maintain alliteration between the three oscillators, and is preferred by some community members.[12]
LCM oscillators
The LCM oscillators below are listed due to being the smallest known one by population, while also satisfying the condition that at least one cell oscillates at the full period.
Dependent oscillators
In Mitchell Riley's CatForce census on Catagolue, an oscillator comprised of two Charity's p16s and two eaters hassling two objects that are R-pentominoes in one phase and traffic light predecessors in another symmetrically.

It is also used in two of the period-32 pi-heptomino hasslers and 86P256.
